Okay, I just created the partiton and now its formatting.

You only need to make the one partition when installing, once windows has been installed you can run disk management to setup further partitions.
Depending on what you plan to do I find a partition of ~15gb enough for the Windows install and critical programs (gfx card drivers etc). |
