Default Screen Resolution

Hi i have a 1680x1050 res 20inch wide screen monitor the problem i have when i set this resolution in the display setting box of the pc the photo images are fine but the on-screen text and the icons become tiny? most of the right hand side of the screen is also blank, so i've been setting the pc to 1024x768 res the only problem with that is all pictures are slightly stretched to wide? which is so anonying? can anything be done to solve this problem? many thanks colin

have you tried selecting "Extra Large Fonts" in the display properties window


If it's vista just go to control panel -> personalization -> left pane look for Adjust Fone Size (DPI)
