Unfortunately, no Nvidia drivers apparently exist for my graphics card (or indeed at all for Server '08 ). Can anyone point me in a more useful direction? or just tell me I'm a fool and slap me until I come to the right conclusion myself.

I'm trying to find drivers for an 8800GTX. thanks!

Wait.. what? Are you aiming to host a server on your computer? If this is not the case.. you should put Windows Server 2008 to the side. The only OS currently supporting DirectX 10 is Vista, it might come to Linux some time;

I've heard rumors about DirectX 10 coming to XP, but this website pretty much crushes my hopes on that.

Microsoft is being tricky and forcing users to go to Vista, hence why they're only putting "the better stuff" on Vista. =[

ahhh scagrabbits! rumours abounded, but apparently they're lies. No DX10 on server? damn you microsoft!

Well, if you get a heads-up about a Linux release that supports DX10, drop it in this thread or somewhere in the RSS feed, if at all possible. Preferably Ubuntu build, I'm used to the system. Thanks for the info, tbird! (Anyone gets that reference, you have serious issues)

Much Love =D

hmm, DX10 on linux, if that happens, I could well have a duel boot in the future Wouldn't bother me which build though, as any linux is new to me, only ever used microsoft (used a few hours on a mac doing video editing, but not rearly using the os)
