Hey guys, i am new here and i am very sorry if this thread is in the wrong section.
Some people tell me that resetting timeout from 30 seconds to 3 seconds in BOOT.INI is overclocking, and that there is a chance of your processor overheating and spoil. Is this true at all or there will totally no chance of this happening? I am currently using a IBM R40 thinkpad and if anyone tried on your R40 before and nothing happens, please do let me know. If anyone is totally against this idea for whatsoever reasons, please let me know. I cant afford to crash this laptop as my parents will kill me. Thanks for your advice |

Editing the timeout in boot.ini just changes how long the boot menu shows for, it has nothing to do with overclocking and will not harm your PC.
