| Hi, I couldn't find a post with this problem, I hope I'm not the only one having it, so when i shutdown windows (XP sp2) it starts to close everything and the "goodbye" screen is appearing, ok and after that extend of continuing to shut down the blue screen of death apperas for a split of a seckong (there isn't time to appear on the whole screen, just at the top) and it restarts. When restarted and the welcome screen is shown if I press shutdown there before the system started it shuts down smoothly with no problems. If I log on again the winlogon.exe it says encourted a problem, error report and everything works normal. Sometimes it even shutsdown with no problem, sometimes it says it shuts down but nothing is happening the mouse responds but I have to hold the power button to turn it off.
Can this be somehow fixed without reinstalling the windows, repair maybe or any suggestions. By the way it is a laptop compaq nx6110, if important runs XP version 2002 sp2. thank you |
