Sorry for probably sounding completely stupid but i have somehow managed to set a password for my other laptop and theres only one user account (mine) which i set the password for. Now the problem is ive forgotten the password and not only that but i never set a clue. So does anybody know how to log onto a pc without knowing the password?

Yes. Restart the machine F8 or F10 possibly? Keep hitting it, Then select Safe mode. Hopefully, if you are like 75% of computer users the admin password will be blank.

try starting in safe mode f 5 or some f 8 logon as admin and remove your pass word
