No sound in fresh install of server 2003

    Hi Guys. I have recently installed windows server 2003 but when I play sound in the new OS nothing happens, do I need to install the drivers windows folder? Help!

    Identify your motherboard(use Everest available in downloads section)then go to the manufacturers website or Google to get the audio driver you need.
    Driverguide.com is a good place to search for drivers for older motherboards(dont know if that applies to you)I think you have to register to use it though(free).

    I dont have a internet connection on the new server install so I cant download from the net. Is there not a folder or file that lets me download the audio drivers to play sound?

    No.
    Drivers available with windows are installed automatically.It obviously doesnt contain the driver you need.
    You can download the driver elsewhere and save it to a USB flashdrive or CD then point the hardware installation wizard to it.
