I dont really know what section to put this in so feel free to move it to th right place.
Anyway, I have this problem with my computer in which it reboots itself when coming out of standby, then I get a message saying the system has recovered form a serious error...this has happened twice now.. Error details: Error code 1000007e, parameter1 c0000005, parameter2 f7119f0d, parameter3 f78dec30, parameter4 f78de92c. ![]() |

Right....
I'm not terribly good when it comes to error codes. So its sounds like a faulty device driver, thing is the computer runs normally, only the odd aplication hang, but i should'nt see why it should reboot when coming out of standby. |

You could try looking at the mini dumps and see if you can narrow down what is causing the crash.

Hmmm, ive downloaded the tool, but it doesnt give you enough info on how to use it, is there an easier way to identify the problem?

Check the 'Event Viewer' for errors.
Start>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Event Viewer Check 'Applications' and 'System' Double click on any errors and there will be an option to get help from Microsoft. There is usually no easy answer to these. You have to start using google and hunt for information on the error codes. Usually the first set of letters or numbers. Or a combination of them.
