Hi, my laptop takes at least 5 minutes to start up, it wasnt always like that but it has been a long time. There is 76% free space on defrag. Does anyone know what could be causing this to happen. My space with IM always comes up at startup I don't know how to get rid of it, don't know if this is effecting the start up speed. can anyone help please?

Windows always gets slower and slower as more patches and programs get installed. Try removing everything you really don't need.
As for My Space, there is an option to switch this off in MS IM.
