Hi all, hope someone can help me with this issue i have.
I've got windows xp home sp3 and since installing sp3 my cpu is at 100% and ram is anywhere from 80mb to 120mb usage for upto 30mins then all fine till next reeboot. I checked task manager ast it was showin svchost at 100% so i started readin up on it.

what i tried so far,
searched google and ms for info,downloaded the new windows update package KB927891 and followed the instructions this is what i was told from one site:

Start>Run>cmd [enter]
At the command prompt, type:
net stop wuauserv [enter]
"%userprofile%\Desktop\WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe" /wuforce [enter]
(don't forget the quotation marks)
net start wuauserv [enter]
exit [enter]
reboot.

All installed fine and updates turned on!

Now this works after the first reboot and no probs at all, but as soon as you reboot again its showin 100% again for svchost. I have turned auto update to notify me befor D/L and turned off completly so no updates have d/l since trying to sort my problem so it must be on same update agent which i installed.
So i thought end it in task manager, well if i do this i loose windows visual effects (looks like win 98 theme) and sound goes aswell saying no audio devices found) so i have to reboot and it all starts again.I have tried installin the update in both safe mode and normal mode, so if anyone can throw any light on this or if i missed something please help!!!

Celly D 360, 1.5 gig ram, GF7300gt, 945GCT mobo.
