Dear All,

Good to be here, can anyone answer a theory question regarding OS's.

Cisco essentials course is good but fails to answer my more probing questions. If I can sysprep an OS using the deploy method, lifting the OS image etc... What infomation does Mr Gates obtain to stop this OS being used on any PC hap - hazardly? Surely there must be some infomation stripping, or everyone and their " mate " would be sharing the OS key costs. Is it the Driver infomation? 1st 3bytes of MAC address?

Please help.

Regards StressStress.

I think it is mostly in the serial, if you try to update then they will notice that the key is in use elsewhere

Social,

Many thanks, It was a question Cisco did not really answer in the book, tells you how to do it, but there must be limitations otherwise we'd all be ripping OS. I need to know how it works in order to answer THIER exam questions.

Once again Thanks.
