| I finished building a computer and about to install the operating system. My CPU is a AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400 + AM2 Black Edition, the m/b M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition. I booted the computer with a W98SE startup floppy, then I select start computer with CD-ROM support ( by the way,I did that many times in the past whenever I formatted the hard drive ) It goes to PCI scan complete and the A: shows up on the screen. When I switch to C and ask for directory it says Invalid media type reading drive C When I switch to D it says Diagnostic tools successfully loaded to Drive D When I switch to E it says: Volume in drive E is Win98.Now I type setup, hoping this would load Windows98 but id does not. I get a message : Scanning system registry... Windows Setup requires 7340032 bytes available on... After this nothing happens anymore Somewhere it also indicated this is a MS RamDrive, whatever that means. Can anybody tell me what I should do ? Thanks Robi |

| You need to run FDISK after loading the floppy and setup your hard drive. On another note Win98 is a POS, why not put on XP?
