| Hello, My computer is currently configured with the MB excepting my SATA (Western Digital) hard drive in IDE mode. Changing the BIOS settings to a SATA drive will not allow windows XP to bootup. I've been told that I need to reinstall windows XP. If so, what do I need to do exactly, and will I be lossing my existing programs?? |

But to answer you question I believe you need to do a fresh install, yes, you will lose everything unless you backup. You can only backup user created files like mp3, word doc and photos, not software/programs. My System: Hybr!d
