Hi, I know it might sound silly, but I have a computer with two operating systems on a single partition, both WindowsXP, one in English, the other in Swedish. Does anybody know how could I uninstall the English version, without harming the other?
Thanks!

There may be another way but I think the simplest might be to simply back up all your stuff and then use the Swedish copy of windows that you have to do a clean install.

Make sure you have everything backed up onto a different hard drive because a clean install will erase everything on the drive that windows is installed to.

Once everything is backed up you then need to make sure that boot sequence is set so that it tries to boot from the CD/DVD before the hard drive. Usually to do this you have to access the bios. At start up you will have to press a key to get into it - usually 'del' or 'F1' - it varies from computer to computer. Once you have accessed the Bios look for an entry that says something like 'boot sequence' and make sure it is set to boot from cd first. then hit F10 or go to the 'save and exit' option.

Next insert the windows cd into the drive and restart. Soon after restart it will say something like 'hit any key to boot from cd'. Hit a key and then it will start the procedure for a clean install. It will give you various options unfortunately I cant remember what they are but it should be fairly obvious. There will be an option that says something 'format and install windows'. Just follow the prompts after that they are pretty simple.

You will need to ensure you have all the drivers for the computer too as you will have reinstall them after you have reinstalled windows.

I hope this helps - sorry that its a little vague, its been a while since I last installed windows so cant remember the exact options.
