I have Widows XP Home installed on my computer.Recently I have been trying to install updates that windows send me a reminder of.The update in Question is Service Pack 3.Each time I try to install it the computer will only operate in safe mode as it will not boot up and I keep getting the message Entering Sleep Mode.I then have to revert to an earlier date when the computer was working.

Appreciate any help. Please keep any replies simple as I have a little knowledge which is definately a dangerous thing.

Thank You

Hi Tony,

This is Mike from the Norton Authorized Support Team.

There are some issues with installing Windows XP SP 3 when you have Norton installed. Symantec has a document on this matter and also a tool that can be run if you experience problems.

Using Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher, click on the following link and follow the instructions carefully.

Thank you,
Mike
