I am upgrading to Vista Ultimate 64-bit from XP Pro. Simply because I need good DirectX 10 software and I'm sure this will help.

Here is what I basically have...
AMD X2 3.2GHz 6400+
4GBs of Kingston HyperX PC2 6400
EVGA 8800GTS 640MB
ASUS 570 SLI Board
PCP&P Silencer 750W PSU
19" Samsung LCD Widecreen

Other than possible driver issues or software compatibility, will this help with playing games such as Crysis, video editing, that sort of stuff? AND will 4GIGS of RAM be enough?

Thanks for viewing my thread.

Thanks. One more question PLEASE!

Will installing Vista over XP get rid of any software or screw up software I already have on XP?

Behave cheezy.

I run it fine and fast on an old P4 3gig and 2gb RAM.

A dual core, 8800, 4gb system is plenty.

You cannot upgrade to Vista, it is fresh install only.

All current data will be formatted so backup anything important.
