Not sure if this is H/W or S/W. Think it is S/W. Installing a new printer when something went wrong. Quit and restarted this AM. Now no USB ports work. On another computer now. Disconnected all USB connections, did a restore. PS-2 mouse and KB work. Still no USB. Tried F-12 and F-2 on on boot up, neither works. Something seems locked up. When it boots up get Found New Hardware Wizard Box. Other funny things

What is happening!

Try re-installing the USB drivers for your motherboard/USB card, that might work.

OK. Thanks. It a Dell 8200 and I will have to dig out the Installation disks. If I remember correctly there is a separate driver disk.

Check System -> Device Manager for USB devices, see if you can find them and check their status (esp. if they have a yellow question mark).

And if they are not there... check the BIOS to see if they are disabled....... don't know why they would be, but it's worth a shot.
