Hi, I am going to custom build a PC and is going to include the Intel Quad Core Q6600 and the Corsair Dominator 2GB 2x1GB 1066Mhz and the 728MB BFG PCI-Express GF 8800GTX. Now my problem is what is the ideal windows vista to install. I would like to buy the Home Premium but do not know whether the 32Bit or the 64Bit. Could anyone please help me with this choice and explain the difference between the 32 and 64Bit because I do not know

Tnx

If you are going to use software that takes advantage of 64bit then the choice is obvious, otherwise to save hassle just get 32bit.

So, how much of RAM does the 64Bit need? Also, from what I could see, I think that I am going for the 32Bit.

I do not need 4Gig of RAM, so I will stick to the 32Bit.

Vista sigh gave me nightmares and that was 32 bit can't imagine how the 64 bit version will run besides the speed increase. Vista really did p*** me off i couldnt play LAN with red alert 2 cause it doesnt support ipx although that would be westwoods fault but still. i have gotten like 7 blue screens. but hey you do know if you buy the 32 bit you get the 64 bit free you just have to pay for delivery very cheep. try both although for me it was a 7 hour install (had to re-install cause didnt work) and after like 4 mounths i unistalled it and put windows xp pro on.

Thank you to all. Accoring to what you are saying, I should not buy the Vista, but I have experiance with Vista and in my opinion everything worked fine. So I will get it for sure.
