Default Vista & DVD's? Whats going on?

Hello, I've had Vista now for about two months and I've had no problems. Its been great...

However, In those two months I've not really written any DVD's but now, when I want to I've noticed that Vista has problems writing them!

Vista itself takes ages to write them (i mean 2hrs or so where my old XP machine could do this in 35mins) , Nero can write DVDs in a reasonable amount of time but they cant be read.

Formatting a DVD takes ages too.

It seems that anything to do with DVDs and Vista takes ages!

Please help...
Ant...
