Well, I have an nVidia GeForce 5500 256mb which in XP gave me loads of resolutions, including my desired 1280x960, with which I could increase my monitors refresh rate to a comfortable level. In Vista it jumps from 1024x768 to 1280x1024...any ideas? I've installed the October 2006 drivers for Vista, which seem to be the latest ones...

is 1280x960 your maximum resolution? Vista drivers are not a well kept up to date with older cards than the newer cards. Try a beta driver if they have them.
