How can I get Vista to notice my raid array?!?!
Basically I have the following: 2x36gb RAID0 with XP Pro 250gb Sata backup for my XP Pro OS 500gb Sata for my Vista install. I turn on the pc, it loads the vista dual boot selection screen, if I select Vista it boots into Vista, if I select XP Pro it gives me a black screen. Then when I reboot it doesn't load the Vista dual boot selection screen, it simply loads straight into XP Pro. To fix this error I have to repair the boot sector using the Vista DVD, then when I finally load up Vista it detects the 250gb Sata but NOT my RAID-0 array. I have tried installing old drivers, but the installation hangs. Vista then tells me to upgrade these drivers, so I do ... it hangs again! ![]() So it seems I can either boot into XP only and be able to see all my drives, or boot into Vista and not see my raid array. I'm not too bothered about being able to see my raid array in vista as it has nothing on it of importance to vista, but it is more the dual boot that has me confused, it just doesn't seem to want to give me the option of XP or Vista, it boots into one of them then f*cks up my other...

yes alot of people, including me, has had alot of problems with dual booting xp and vista. did you follow the guides on the internet about dual booting? if not heres a good one http://apcmag.com/5023/dual_booting_xp_with_vista just ignore the parts about partitioning your drives!

Tried online tutorials endlessly to no avail! I've seen the EasyBCD before, tried it but it kept giving me errors when I tried to run it. It seems as though that might be the thing to get it working, so i'll try uninstalling and installing it again.
I'm still concerned however that Vista does not detect my raid array, though I think i'll leave that in the hands of nvidia, and whenever they decide to release drivers that work.

I've just installed EasyBCD and it seems to have installed ok this time, though within the list of entries it says my XP Pro RAID boot is set to boot from D:, which is my 200gb Sata XP Backup, and because vista does not recognise my raid array, I cannot set it so that it boots from the raid array instead of the 200gb sata, if you see what I mean.
