| Hi, I've got XP 64bit installed at the moment on my high end computer. I want to swap XP for Vista, but I am having trouble installing it. I put the disc in on startup > press F8 > choose language etc. > press install > please wait......then! (something like) Error Code - Windows could not find a certain file. the code itself is something like x8007000d? Then press OK and it brings you back to the main install screen. Thank you, and can we keep the vista .vs. XP whining to a minimum. kind regards Lucas |

| Are you doing a clean install or an upgrade? This MAY sound stupid but is quite pertinent actually, how many GB's of RAM are in your high end computer? Are you installing Vista 32 bit or Vista 64 bit? Obligatory Vista/XP whining: I liked XP. I like Vista64 better. |

| Not quite sure why you are hitting F8 at startup, have you tried hitting the space bar or any non Function key, when you see the "Press any key to boot from CD message" ?
