hi,
I dont no were to post this but i think it maybe a hadrive problem.
My vista has been working for ages, then recently it just freezes when loading the welcome centre and wont work, it only works o safe mode?, i can connect to the internet etc on safe mode but normal settings just freezes.

any help will be appreicated

by the way I am Vista 32-bit

Sounds like it could be a driver problem, one of your drivers is unhappy.

how could i check this then?

I think your right about it being a driver. I checked my devices and drives on CP but everything seems in working order, I then tried a system restore but It failed

If you are on Vista I would boot off your Install CD and run the Boot Repair.

Fixes 99% of boot issue with one click.

I just discovered, i bought my laptop with vista built in and I dont have a Vista operating CD

sorry for the third post, but I went onto problems and solutions and found this problem happening about the time the computer was not working.

Consumer IR devices could not load driver software

If this is any use?

I done a search and this came up

the 06: baddriver attracts the attention but i cant find which driver isnt working
