| i thought i start a new thread to benefit a newbie like myself. i heard my friends say vista is not user friendly is that true. also i see most companies selling computers with vista in the package. is it possible to change it to xp. |

| Vista is better, it just had/has a few teething problems. I have been using it from the start and after some initial bumps I haven't had any issues in months. And yes, it is possible to put XP on a Vista supplied machine. |

| Unfortunately to date, vista has been for some, a disappointing experience. From my own personal experience with vista, I think it hoggs resources and is not very compatible with peripherals due to device driver issues. However, I hope that it is just teething problems and that things are sorted with some updates. For the moment I'd stay well clear... |
