Personally I prefer the classic Windows XP :)

I had Vista on my laptop pre-installed and I didnt like it. So, I got rid of it and replace it with XP Home Edition. The reason I don't like Vista is cos it uses up TOO MUCH Ram!
I used to use photoshop alot and Vista used to use more than 60% of the CPU. XP uses less.

The thing I do like about Vista is the interface. :)

Ive got xp pro on desktop and vista home premium on my laptop; and i like both, sorry to sit on the fence but my reasons for this are,
Xp pro i love, cos im so use to using it, it runs smooth on my pc, i can still play the latest games on it, and its stable after a bad start its now a damn good o/s
Vista, hated it at the start, but the more i used it the more i liked but realised its more a windows xp mk2 than an outright different system, bit like upgrade from a mk1 to a mk2 cortina just a different bodyshell all the same underneath
but hey its a nice looking o/s and i like it so both get the thumbs up from me

Had Vista when it first came out I used it for two weeks and went back to XP . At that time when Vista was the new thing many printers would not work and some ISP did not know how to get there program installed on the computers so you were more or less on your own.
So I went back to XP where I can still load some of the old games that Vista will not run.
Maybe after five years all the problems will be worked out of Vista then I will try it again.

I prefer still in the Windows XP especially the SP2 version.I do not really like Windows Vista because it has a lot of bugs and it eats a lot of memory.

xp pro well what an os! we bin stuck with it for years now..VISTA i personally love! ok pc specs have to be upto date but come on windows has always needed some eye candy.as with any new os there will be bugs but i remember xp had them days.i think vista now is not a bad start and am so looking forward to windows 7 . i have always said there needs to be more customization options for the more advanced users that cant live without there pc and internet..like me ;-) no more regedits? no more third party softwear ..yes please i have ran vista ultimate on a 2ghz 1gb ram 128mb graphics card with no problem speed was more than acceptible

the latest games need more and more powerful computers, so does the latest OS, why do you think xp is so fast..... because it was designed for a computer released 2001, dont forget xp seemed like a memory hog in 2001, and now vista is because its the latest thing, and to be honest, you run vista with 1GB fine, if your using SATA drives, the difference between SATA and IDE makes the world of difference, i tryed using vista with 2GB of memory, and i still managed to use it with no page file, ive got 4GB now, and in no way has it slowed down, dont forget this OS adapts to your system.

if you defrag regually it makes a massive difference, dont forget your Service pack 1, and all your driver updates and you will be fine.
