My computer is abnormally slow today. There was a message in one of the icons of the task bar that my virtual memory is very slow. Could you tell me what are the impacts of virtual memory being low? What are the reasons? How can it be fixed?

1) Right Click On My Computer.
2) Then Click on PROPERTIES.
3) Then Click on ADVANCE tab.
4) Now Click SETTING under PERFORMANCE.
5) Now Again Click ADVANCE tab there.
6) Then Click CHANGE under VIRTUAL MEMORY.
7) A new windows will appear on your Screen here carefully see that Drive C ( if u have only one Operating system installed) is selected.
8) Now select Custom Size and increase the numbers in front of "Initial Size and Maximum Size" and Click SET and Click OK Twice.
