When Logging on......Are you holding Shift down? That can bypass the startup programs. |

When Logging on......It could be spyware. If you haven't fixed it: Go to the <Link hidden. Register for free to see this link!> Do everything in the first post in <Link hidden. Register for free to see this link!> post. Then start a new thread in that forum and post the Hijack This log you created. Someone will look over it and suggest a course of action. |

When Logging on......Is this the same computer as <Link hidden. Register for free to see this link!> EDIT: Nope different specs. If you use it for the same things as the other one you need to do as Serverguy suggested and go post a Hijackthis log. Either Serverguy or I will then have a look at it.

When Logging on......have you got the laptop plugged in when it doesn't come up? try the following steps: 1. go to start > control pannel 2. ensuring the control pannel is in classic view (link on the left pannel) double click "power options" 3. click the advanced tab 4. ensure the "always show icon on the taskbar" is ticked If it isn't ticked, that could be your problem. If it is ticked, I don't know what the problem is.

When Logging on......please can someone help me, usaully i put the laptop into hibernation, that way it stays with all the icons ready and there, plus its quicker, but sometimes i do have to restart, or log off, if i wait tell my HDD lights stops blinking then i log on and its fine, if i dont wait it dosent load up all the icons, like the power icons and the the SIS utilty tray. ive checked that none of these icons are hidden and also clicked the arrow, i am good with working with computers just dont understand all the problems sometimes |

When Logging on......OK. Please run the System File Checker first to see if its something to do with Windows. Go to Start - Run Type in sfc /scannow and click OK If it asks for you Windows Disk insert it and follow onscreen instructions. Say if it finds anything in. It could also be something to do with the hard disk.. it could be failing. It might be worth running a test on it to check it is good. Otherwise I still think this is malware. See what the System File Checker finds and we can go from there. |

When Logging on......One other thing I can suggest at this point is to try a system restore. That should fix it if you chose one before the problem started. |
