| Do you have an XP CD? If so, place it in your CD ROM drive and follow the instructions below:
If you want to see what was replaced, right-click My Computer and click on Manage. In the new window that appears, expand the Event Viewer (by clicking on the + symbol next to it) and then click on System. |

| Are you aware that you have Symantec/Norton running along with AVG and Comodo? Open Hijackthis and select Do a system scan only and then place a check mark next to:
Do you use Broadbandadvisor? |

| OK, heres something else you can try since I doubt System File Checker is going to work anyway. Download this Reg Fix http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs...top_fixall.vbs Double click on the icon when it has finished downloading and follow the onscreen prompts. Edit: Just noticed evilfantasy has replied as well. There is no harm in doing this aswell.

| You didn't get all of the norton/symantec uninstalled. There are 3 or 4 services running from it. Fix the items I noted with Hijackthis and post an uninstall list. Create An Uninstall List

| You actually have too many security programs running. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall:
Now run the Norton Removal Tool ---------- Install and run CCleaner Slim (No Toolbar) <- Keep this and run it daily. ---------- Older versions of Java have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version(s) of Java components and update. Step 1 - Get the new version

| sorry can i ask a question? its totaly off topic and while i wait for java i thought i could ask. i have a computer with DDR ram, i want to upgrade it, its an RM computer, ive used the Crucial scanning method to try and find the speeds of RAM i can put in, i know the maximum size, but its the speeds im worried about, if i bought a piece of RAM that is faster then would the motherboard can handle, will it not accept it, or will it slow it down to the maximum it can handle? + do i have to use norton removal tool, it will take off my norton ghost 10 |
