Default Windows 2008 DNS Error Event ID: 4007

Hello

I am facing a problem with my windows 2008 DC DNS.

Event ID: 4007

The DNS server was unable to open zone _msdcs.mace.ae in the Active Directory from the application directory partition ForestDnsZones.mace.ae. This DNS server is configured to obtain and use information from the directory for this zone and is unable to load the zone without it. Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly and reload the zone. The event data is the error code.

Please see below the IPCONFIG /ALL for my dc:

Please know that mace.ae was initially setup as the domain name, which we cahnged to mace.local.

mace.ae does not exist anymore & we do not need this anymore in the AD. We need all record to point to mace.local.

Please tell me:

1. how can i get rid of this error?

2. Is my DNS healthy

3. Please advise me on anything I need to do on my DNS settings to make sure the network remains healthy.

Thank You.

Philip
