has anyone tried some games on this yet? if so, which ones and how do they work? there was some speculation of this full version of 7 coming with DX11, is this true?

Woo hoo, Silverlight was the ticket. No Silverlight, no Beta. I just finished the 64 bit download. I guess i need to delete some garbage off my HDD and then I think I'll try the dual boot thing like.......... crap, I forget who posted it........ whatshisname said.

Although I'm thinking maybe I should build a new computer and put it on that............

Thats why I use mainly. An old junker with a P4 and 3Gb of RAM and a 8600GT GFX card.

Think i could get it to run on a p4 (3.2) with 2GB's ram and a ATI 2600 pro (i think 2600 pro). IE: My old machine?

yeah i dont see why not. is the the Prescott or northwood line of pentiums? either way it should run fine.

I've been playing with the 32bit version for a few days now and must say, for a Beta, it seems very stable.
Not sure if I like the Taskbar yet, but I'll reserve judgement, until I've played a bit more.

I installed it on a year old Laptop and it found all the hardware and installed all the drivers, with no problems.

The only disappointment so far is SuperAntiSpyware crashes the system and wont install. AVG 8 works fine, so does SpywareBlaster.
Also installed Nero 8 and Office 2003 and both seem fine.

Once you turn UAC off (as Carbon mentioned), it's quite responsive.

great to hear that its going well.Are all the features active or did they turn some things off? Im really excited for final release but i hope its not riddled with bugs or security holes...

Haven't come across anything turned off yet .... and no signs of bugs so far.

It din't like SuperAntiSpyware though (as mentioned above) during installation, it completely crashed the system and forced a reboot. I've since looked on SAS Forums and they are aware of this, so no doubt they will be tweaking the program, in time for W7's final release.
