Looks like it's completely different again! And there I was thinking it was going to be similar to Vista (like XP was to 2000) Seems like people will need to get used to something completely different again.

It's meant to be 4GB RAM min too.

Wow, 4GB minimum, I'm assuming either there is some major re-programing of 32bit to make it compatible with more memory (if it's possible, I'm not sure what part is limiting) or it will only be available in 64bit versions. But I suppose with the new Intel CPU's that are coming supporting triple channel DDR3 RAM, the standard amount of RAM will be 6GB (like 2GB is pretty much standard at the moment) with the max going from 8GB to 12GB

OK im getting SICK of windows changing their style all the time. Now we gotta go relearn everything again, and we gotta learn how to cope with the non-stagnant icons by the looks of things. They gotta settle down and start working the bugs out of the current OS. Gotta admit though, it looks pretty high-tech and clean.

It's due 2010 so I think they will be aiming at 64bit only. Anyone wanting 32bit won't have a spec to run it regardless of RAM I think.

Yea, that's what I thought I had read somewhere too, probably been delayed though, things always do.

Thank god, if the thing about 64-bit is true. The split now is infuriating and once the market is forced to get on board perhaps we'll stop having this dumb dichotomy.

Hopefully, though, developers won't go "hey, they have even more RAM now! let's bloat the hell out of our products" like they have for the last few years and especially after people started buying 1-2GB of RAM.

It's either due out in the second half of 2009 or early 2010.

Interesting screenshots, Dave.

The ones I had seen it looked identical to vista.
