Microsoft claims the reason for this fast release of their next OS is because Windows 7 won’t be started from scratch. Instead, it will build on the foundations laid by Windows Vista, Vista SP1 and Windows Server 2008. Microsoft will not be creating a new kernel for the OS

A friend of mine showed me a sneak preview of the pre-beta release that is doing the rounds.

It looks like Vista to me, without all the unnecessary junk.

Linux won't overtake until it itself becomes a compatible and simple OS (for new users).

Depends. 32Bit operating systems can only use 3.25GB.

64Bit is 192GB but Microsoft limited it it various versions.

  • Starter: 8GB
  • Home Basic: 8GB
  • Home Premium: 16GB
  • Professional: 192GB
  • Enterprise: 192GB
  • Ultimate: 192GB
