Ok. Heres my problemo.

When I turn the computer on,windows starts loading with that blue bar going across the screen but it freezes about half way through loading and it just stays like that.

So, I went into safe mode and I tried system restore so I can get things like they were a few days back. However, I choose the date I want to go back to but the "next" button wont work. I click it and nothing happens.

So can someone please please tell me how to fix system restore or give me a completely different idea on how to get windows not to freeze up. Thanks a lot, appreciate anyone who can help.

Hmmm... When you get the options screen to go into safe mode etc, have you tried 'reverting to the last known good configuration'. You could try insterting your XP CD if you still have it and boot from disk to do a repair of windows.

If you dont have the option to do this and the problem persists you could always do a clean install of windows. However that would result in loss of your files and spening money on a new OS.
