| We are running Windows XP Pro SP2. When I go into windows explorer and click on the 'search' icon, a box comes up 'preparing to install'. I have to control alt delete out of the application because it freezes the screen and eventually times out. What could be causing this and how can I fix it? It's very frustrating not to be able to search anything. Thank you. Dont Post Email Addresses! |

| sounds like windows is corrupt. if you have a win xp disk boot from it and select repair but be carefull not to install over your existing installation or delete anything. in other words, read before you press anything and nothing will go wrong. if you dont have the disk i think its legal if you download it through bittorrent as long as you only use it to repair your computer
