Hi as soon as i log in to windows it immediately logs out. I have tried a repair install to no avail. Also after the repair install i get a BSOD "IRQL is not less than equal...." This is urgent since it has valuable notes i have for exams.

Firstly it could be your ram could try reseating it or try another if you can, another reason is it could be your graphics driver if you have an nvidea card so un-install and get the lastest drivers from nvidias site,
and lastly a friend had this problem and it turned out to be his second hard drive dont know why but when he unplugged it the o/s worked fine
hope this helps and good luck m8

I've done this to a friend as a prank... it could be a shutdown file , check your start up for any weird files in safe mode. Go to start > all programs > startup

Now it should either be (Empty) or contain files that you know about. give me a list of whats in startup if there is anything.
