ok how do I boot up in safe mode?

I have just got my laptop back from the tec guys at PC world and they couldn't do anything with it??

I'm at my wits end here

1. Restart your computer.
2. When the computer starts you will see your computer's hardware being listed. When you see this information start to gently tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with the Windows Vista Advanced Boot Options.
3. Select the Safe Mode option using the arrow keys.
4. Then press the enter key on your keyboard to boot into Vista Safe Mode
How much did the IT guys charge you?

Did you try ophcrack as Dave suggested ? ..... this is a good program.
If you need help creating the Live CD, let us know.

By the way, it is not a good idea to use The Tech Guys at PissyWorld ..... they are more likely to render it beyond repair

got that ophcrack but couldn't get it to work!!
luckly they didn't charge me a penny at pissyworld!!!

just tried safe mode and it still comes up with the password log on screen

I do type in one password and it comes up with the welcome message for a few mins then comes back and says password incorrect again!!!

Did you install Vista or was it on the machine when you brought it?

yes tried all of that.....
am at an end as there's too much stuff loaded on laptop which I need!!!
thats why i've come on here for help there has to be a way around it
