Hi, my misses comp wont start anymore, it was lasted used this mornin and all workin fine, it was shut down nps there.
went to turn it on this afternoon and it get stuck at the 'sorry for any inconvenience screen,start in either, safe mode, last known config, start normally'. i have tried all of them windows will start to load with the bar then itll restart it self for no reason.
I have inserted the XP disk and ran the recover proggy but all that happens there is a flashing C:\ and the message at the top 'type EXIT to exit' any clues please.

Compaq Presario 6000
Windows XP pro (gen copy)
Athlon 2100+
512mb Ram
ATi 7500LE 64meg Graphics

Run the second repair option, not the first.

thanks chaps for replys but turns out the hdd is no more.. tried to format and do fresh install but wouldnt have it... so put a spare 40gig in and reinstalled windows and shes all happy now..
