Running XP home, SP3. PC has been randomly freezing. This has been going on for some time, but I've been putting up with it. It started after a power failure. When the power came back on, I noticed it freezing. No BSOD, it just doesn't do anything when it occurs. Mouse still works, but nothing happens if you click on anything. It doesn't matter what browser I'm using. When this occurs, a small white rectangle appears in the upper left hand corner. Sometimes I also hear a low pitched rumble coming from the case. I've ran Spybot S&D, Adaware, Defender, Super Anti-spyware, Eusing and CCleaner, as well as my anti-virus. I've also ran Data Lifeguard. Usually it returns to normal after a minute or two, but sometimes I have to open the task manager to close the browser, then it will work just fine when the browser is reopened. The sites don't seem to matter, as it has frozen on TSF. The pc may go two or three days without this occuring, and then again it might happen four or five times in a single day. I checked the temp, and it's running at 30C. So far, it doesn't freeze if I'm playing a game. Dr. Watson says pc has no issues. LOL
