So I turned on my comp and Windows XP didn't boot, it comes to the screen that prompts safe mode/networking last working/normal and I picked last working config and the comp reboot back to the same screen. All options reboot to the same thing.

So I booted to another hd and that booted fine. The hd is only a year old and I can access files on the hd.

Does anyone have any suggestions or any programs that can check the integrity of windows w/o it running?? or any suggestions getting it to boot.

Thanks

If you can get into Windows via another drive then open My Computer > Right click the non-booting drive > Properties > Tools > Error Checking.

Tick fix file system errors and let it perform the check, fixes many boot issues.

Failing that you will need to repair the install using a XP CD.
