 Windows XP Pro SP2 Setup - Access Denied

recently got a used Dell OptiPlex GX270 that only has SP1 on it.....I tried to install SP2 on it and keep getting an access denied error message. How can I put SP2 on this machine as it now says that I have a partial setup and that this is dangerous ...

Have a look at this page and see if it helps ..... scroll down to "Cannot install Service Pack 2"
