Our computer at home i acting slightly odd. It is 3-4yrs old now and is running windows XP.

I'll come to switch it on and it'll boot up fine, then i'll sign into my desktop no problem, then just as everything has finished loading the screen will turn that dreaded blue colour. It says 'fatal error etc etc, beginning dump of physically memory'. Half an hour later it will restart and work perfectly. Then it will behave for 3-4 days, then do it again.

Any thoughts?

Without knowing the exact error message it could be a multitude of things. We need the error number in full.
Please type it out.
Do system maintenance, CCleaner, Defrag, chkdsk. Spyware scans also.
