Default XP Pro 32bit or 64bit????

heyyy there

just a quick question. ive got a copy of xp pro 64bit, but is it really worth me using it?? i mean is there that my advantages over 32bit?? or disadvantages for tht matter. i use xp pro on 32bit currently. i no that vista comes in 64bit quite a lot, but refuse to use it, cant stand vista me self

Only reason I can see to run 64bit is if you want to run more than 3GB of RAM.

yeahh thats what ive seen in other posts..

is there any noticable performance difference from 32bit though?? that what im interested in..

Also, some programs are only 64bit, however there aren't very many of them, and your reason is the most common I think Dave.

only if you put in more RAM, if you stay with all the same Hardware (assuming you are bellow the 3GB RAM limit) you won't notice any change (if anything it will get worse) and some programs have compatability problems with 64bit versions of OS's however this is getting better as 64bit is becoming more widely used
