Hello.
I have Xp-Pro but what is difference between windows xp student edition and regular windows xp pro ?

Microsoft have more licensing schemes than seem sensible. These differ from country to country as well.

In general there are Academic Licenses. Either the school owns the licence or the student does. If the school owns it then - maybe - the student has to wipe the software on leaving the institution. The Academic License - Full Package is bought by the student directly and he gets to keep it once he leaves.

The Academic License will usually prohibit commercial use of the software.

In functional terms XP Pro is identical.
