Hmmm. Doesn't seem to be much there.

You can re run HJT and fix these two:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {0BF43445-2F28-4351-9252-17FE6E806AA0} - (no file)

Have you installed any new programs recently?

i have fixed the two problems that you outlined in your previous message, and still no look. i have ran a virus scan again and nothing. i am using Norton 360. would i be better rebooting my system? its a long process i know, but will it fix it??

Well im sure norton 360 isnt helping, as norton products before 2007 are terrible resource hogs and slow some computers to a crawl.

How would you feel about uninstalling Norton and going with free alternatives which are much better?

Those two things we fixed will have made no difference to the speed of the shutdown. They were just left over from previously uninstalling something that didn't get completely removed.

How old is the computer? What sort of specs is it?

Well, AVG from

http://free.grisoft.com

will do for viruses and spyware, and Zonealarm from

http://www.zonelabs.com

will replace the firewall.

Zone Alarm is a good firewall choice. Alternatively you could use Commodo.

Whilst AVG used to be a very good choice, it has now been well over taken by Avast Free Edition.

AVG is just not what it used to be.

Make sure your run the Norton Removal Tool to get rid of Norton 360 properly.

Yes.

It is generally considered very bad. Going the Norton ways, bloated and not working like it used to.

Avast has used this to it's advantage and come out with a very good product. Much better than AVG's offering.

Sad to say it but AVG is way behind now. Ask evilfantasy if you don't believe me.
