XP - Urgent Help Req - "rogue anti virus"

hey all,

i have a friend who's XP desktoostop got a "rogue anti virus" pop up.. now it has seemed to of eaten most of system 32.. boots up ok but the IE doesnt work.. system restore doesnt work.. nothing does really .. any ideas??

Assuming the system is 100% clean, run the CD and second repair option and that should fix anything up.

Reinstall IE or use Mozilla Firefox.
