Hi all,

This very well could be a very simple question..

I have XP on my system at the moment, and i want to install Vista Ultimate on a seperate partition.

Now, is there any way in which I can share the C: drive between them, as I don't fancy installing all my programs in XP and Vista.

thanks.

You can install Vista on a seperate partition, but each OS will be totally self contained and will work totally independantly of the other ......... so you will have to install drivers and software on each OS.

Would I be better off upgrading my current XP install to Vista, then installing XP on a 40gb (or thereabouts) partition just for programs that won't run on Vista?

Maybe, but with Windows 7 due for release in October, you might be better off waiting.
