just having formated my computer im wondering what anti V i should go with. some people prefer the avg i think its called, its free and low usage but is it reliable? i do have a norton acount with about 100 days left but i aint installed it yet. ive got alot of hassle with norton, blocking stuff and not telling me etc.... would i be better off with AVG? i mean vista is pretty good with viruses anyway

I totally agree with Dave Hybrid. Norton is absolute rubbish. McAfee aint much better either.

The best protection you can have is your user habits. Safe and sensible surfing/computer usage is the key to keeping your system clean.

Take a look at the list of free security software below. It`s probably all you`ll ever need.

AVG free or Avast antivirus programmes.

Zonealarm, Kerio or Comodo free firewall programmes.

Spybot Search & Destroy.

Ad-Aware se personal.

Spyware Blaster.

AVG Antispyware.

Ccleaner.
