I have the Avast free version right now but, it has never found anything while scanning. Is this a good thing? or could it be missing things and maybe, I should try using the AVG Free version? just looking for opinions since some of you have probably tried both. Thanks!

Both are equally good and offer great protection. Try adding a spyware scanner in too like Superantispyware free for a more complete kit. And yes, ideally they should not find anything, it means you're clean in most cases.

I like Avast too.

And like Dave says, no results is technically a good thing - however theres something greatly satisfying about ridding your PC of a few viruses, and maybe the odd hacker here and there!

Maybe that's just me.

But hey, just turn it off for a few days, browse the web, flick back on and indulge yourself in my bizarre sense of satisfaction - then log onto CJ and give evilfantasy a headache.
