 AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 8.0 I may be missing something here, but when you do a Google search, Link Scanner scans all the website results displayed. This seems really strange, as the chances are you will only select one of the websites to view ...... isn't their logic a bit "off" here ? .... I can't see what they were thinking, it's definitely overkill.

| AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 8.0 Yep, thats the problem I had. It would still be analyzing many of the links long after I had found what I was looking for. Seemed to use a lot of resources in the process as well. Site Advisor is much more efficient.

| AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 8.0 I think that maybe the blacked out dialogues are to do with running the free version? Under Scan Whole Computer, what happens when you try Change Scan Settings? I just get black bars.

| AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 8.0 It is a theme issue. In the default theme all looks ok, but in Royale Vista 2 Blue I get these black bars. Otherwise all is running ok and there is no slow down.

| AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 8.0 Decided to give this a try on my new laptop as was starting to feel Avast looks dated. Must say I am very impressed, some nice little touches like the positive and negative ratings for web pages on a Google search.
