Does anyone know if there are any issues with AVG Free 8.5 and internet dial up? I was trying to install BT dial up software on win XP and AVG blocked the install treating it as a rogue dialler. I could neither install from a disc nor download from BT. I uninstalled AVG to load the software then reinstalled AVG. I still cannot connect to BTOW. It begins the process but stalls and sometimes freezes the computer. All the hardware worked before so I am thinking this is a software issue.

I haven't heard of any dial up issues with AVG. Have you tried another antivirus like Avast or Avira?
